Xiaomi released a new phone powered by Google. The new Mi A1 looks identical to the recently released Mi 5X which is similar to iPhone 7 Plus.
It has 64GB of internal memory. Mi A1 doesn’t have any other memory variants unlike the other phones released by Xiaomi. These usually range from 16GB to 256GB.
Like Mi 5X, this smartphone has a 7.3mm slim body and has rounded edges that fit comfortably on the users’ hand. It has three different colors to choose from: gold, rose gold and, black. Mi A1 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625, a mid-range chipset, which is an octa-core.
As for overheating, Xiaomi has been very careful in which the device will have a thin sheet of pyrolytic graphite, which should radiate heat quickly and allows the device to work smoothly. The screen is IPS has a display size of 5.5 inches having full HD resolution. It has an expandable RAM of 4GB. But, when used with microSD card it could go up as high as 128GB.
Mi A1 looks to improve on other aspects
It features a dual camera at the rear which is a combination of a 12-megapixel wide-angle lens having an aperture of f/2.2 and the other telephoto lens with f/2.6. It has a dual LED flash and claims to have a 2x optical zoom with blurred backgrounds. Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF) technology accompanies these specs. Mi A1 shoots 4K videos at 30fps and 720p at 120fps. For the front camera, it has 5-megapixels having an aperture of f/2.0.
Mi A1 has a battery life of 3080mAh. Having stock Android, it may not have better battery life compared to the MIUI smartphones. It has a USB Type-C port and a 3.5 mm headphone jack.
The price is a bang for the buck which starts at $235 with a great finish and premium design for a phone. Some people never liked MIUI but having an Android version can change their mind.
